Daily Prayer

Rev. 4:9-10

“And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your bloodmen from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. “You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth.”

Daily Prayer

Weekly Focus: Prayers for the Nations
Last week I was blessed to make a trip to visit some Christian friends in Beirut, Lebanon. It was a mind-changing experience. It was the first time I witnessed Christians so full of love for their enemies that it is impacting their culture. It is an unequivocal definition of awakening made possible ONLY through Jesus Christ.

Daily Prayer:

We join with the myriads of angels and living creatures and the elders in praising You. “You are the worthy Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.” To You who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever.” Allelulia.

You are a God of love who has made all of us in Your image. You loved us before the foundation of the world. You even died for us. It amazes us that You, the worthy Lamb, love us for we are an unholy people.

We confess that we find it difficult to really believe that You love people from every tribe and nation. Especially when we consider some to be our enemies. You have told us to love our enemies but at times we hardly know how to love each other. We confess that we are judgmental and prejudiced. We have been blinded by our own deep seated mistrust, politics and elitism. Forgive us Lord.

Fill us Jesus with Your love. Amen
